Santiago Carreras scores a double for Gloucester vs Bristol

Santiago Carreras touched down for two tries on Friday night. The Puma scored a double for Gloucester against the Bristol Bears. The two tries were his first in the English Premiership.

Both tries were against the run of play; Carreras intercepted the two tries in a matter of minutes. The first was in the 12th minute. The outside back from Córdoba gathered a pass inside his 22 and ran 80 minutes to score. He touched down under the posts.

The second try was in the 26th minute. The Argentine speedster again had a lot of meters to run. He intercepted the pass just within his own half.

The intercepts were both near the right touchline. The first saw Carreras latching on to a short pass while the second was a long one.

The tries were comparable to his score against the Queensland Reds in the 2019 Super Rugby season. On that occasion Carreras scored what was a defining try for the outcome of the contest. Coincidentally, Carreras also scored a double in that match.
