Dallas signing Jinho Mun switches to Houston

Dallas Jackals signing Jinho Mun will move to the Houston SaberCats for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. The 24-year-old scrumhalf was acquired by in the supplementary draft following the expansion side’s withdrawal from their intended inaugural campaign.

Mun was born in American Samoa and grew up in New Zealand but has represented South Korea in sevens, qualifying through his father. He was briefly contracted to Japan Top League side Yamaha Jubilo in 2019 and most recently has been playing in Texas for Dallas Harlequins.

Houston now have four scrumhalves on their roster including returnees De Wet Roos and Zachary Short, and Canadian recruit Crosby Stewart. Short can also cover flyhalf, while both Stewart and Mun have also played in the outside backs.
