Uruguay Create Super 4 national championship

Uruguay has created a new national championship. The Super 4 will replicate the model implemented in Chile in 2020. In the case of Uruguay, the Super 4 will have our regional teams. They are each to consist of players from clubs within the defined regions.

They will be the north, south, east, and west. All four teams will be based in Montevideo. They will compete in home-and-away matches for a total of six rounds of competition. It will be split during the year with the first section of matches to take place in May.

The clubs are to be divides into teams as follows:

  • Old Boys, Ceibos, Champagnat, Lions
  • Old Christians, MVCC, Lobos, Trouville
  • Carrasco Polo, PSG, Seminario, La Olla
  • Trébol, Los Cuervos, Círculo, Remeros de Mercedes, Vaimaca de Salto
