Brex debuts; immediately settles into Italian midfield

Juan Ignacio Brex made his test debut on Saturday. The Argentine center did so for Italy in a home Six Nations match against France. It was not an even contest. To the contrary, France were on top for the duration, winning 50-10.

Brex played the match at inside center. He made 14 carries in the game for an impressive return of 139 meters. The 28-year-old from Buenos Aires immediately settled into the Italian mid-field.

Italy will play again next Saturday. In week two of the 2021 Six Nations Italy will face England in London. Eddie Jones’ side are coming off a shock home defeat against Scotland. In what was one of the worst performances from England in many years, Jones’ team failed to turn up on the day.
