Uruguay are scheduled to end 2021 by touring Europe. The three match tour will see Los Teros facing Italy and Romania in away matches as well as facing Tonga at neutral Bucharest. The match against Italy has previously been reported.
The match against Wales, meanwhile, is set to be positioned ahead of Wales’ two match tour of Argentina. Montevideo will play host to Uruguay vs Wales on June 26 or July 03. Wales’ tests against Argentina are to take place on July 10 and 17. They will be the first matches of 2021 for Los Pumas.
Uruguay vs Wales is set to be placed ahead of Uruguay’s RWC 2023 qualifying matches against the two teams that advance from round one. They will be two of Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Paraguay.
There is further noteworthy information included in the publication that relates to international competition. The dates for the Americas 1 matches between the winner of South America and North America regional qualifies will be played in a home-and-away series in October. Game one will be in North America on October 02. Game two will be in South America on October 09.
