Major League Rugby releases revised 2021 Schedule

Major League Rugby has released a revised schedule for the 2021 season. The changes were necessary following three significant developments – the withdrawal of the Dallas Jackals, and the temporary relocations of the San Diego Legion to Las Vegas and the Toronto Arrows to Atlanta.

While the fixture list itself sees radical alterations, the format has been maintained and the season remains on track to begin on March 20 as intended. Key dates for the playoffs are also left intact.

The new schedule will see the Arrows now playing on opening day rather than waiting until Week 2. One Thursday match and a planned Monday game are now discarded, with only two matches during the season now coming during the week – on Thursday and one Friday.

Some match-ups that were previously missing are now on the schedule. For example the Arrows will play the LA Giltinis on April 10. The two sides were initially not to meet at all during the regular season.

The revised schedule in its entirety can be seen here.
