Rugby ATL signs ex-Raptors flanker Connor Cook

Rugby ATL have signed former Colorado Raptors back row Connor Cook for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. The 29-year-old adds experience to an already impressive Rattlers loose forward contingent that features Canadian international Matt Heaton and powerful No8 Ross Deacon.

Cook was an invaluable member of the Raptors squad during his three MLR campaigns in Glendale. He played 25 games and covered across the back row, even filling in at lock on a couple occasions. This past season Cook appeared in all five matches, starting two games at openside flanker.

ATL have now confirmed seven newcomers, three of whom are back row forwards. MLR rookies Daemon Torres and Jalen Tatum earned contracts after impressing with the Pathway 404 development side. The club are to announce more signings over the next couple weeks.
