Castres win at Montpellier with 11 points to Benjamín Urdapilleta

Castres completed an away win over Montpellier on Sunday. The 21-19 victory saw the Tarns coming back from 19-11 to seal an important road victory. Benjamín Urdapilleta had a busy match. The Argentine play-maker scored 11 points in the win.

Urdapilleta started outside Santiago Arata. In doing so, the Rio de la Plata combination continues to develop at Castres. The duo were joined by Matt Tierney; the Canadian was a replacement. Also featuring from the bench was Titi Lamositele. The USA Eagles prop played 31 minutes for Montpellier.

The win was Castres’ 4th for their past 5 appearances. It lifts the team up to 9th position in the standings. It is a smooth turnaround following the team’s prior positioning in the relegation zone. Montpellier rare now 13th and in poor shape. The team has lost their last 5 Top 14 matches.

Both teams will play again this coming weekend. Castres will play away to Clermont while Montpellier will be at home against Lyon.
