Urdapilleta scores 11 points as Castres overcome Agen

Benjamín Urdapilleta scored 11 points for Castres on Saturday. The Tarns were convincing 39-23 winners over Agen. Urdapilleta landed four goals and had a try assist for Geoffrey Palis. The assist came following an interception.

For the second consecutive Top 14 match, Castres won with 14-men. Filipo Nakosi was red carded in the 2nd minute against Agen. This followed the 15-14 win over Lyon wherein fellow center Yann David was red carded in the 4th minute.

The two wins have helped Castres rise the standings. The club had been in the relegation zone, but is now in 10th position. Agen are bottom and looking likely to be relegated. The out of form Montpellier are presently 13th.

Urdapilleta was one of three players from the Americas involved in Castres’ win. Uruguay’s Santiago Arata started inside Urdapilleta at scrum-half while Canadian Matt Tierney was a replacement. Colombia’s Andrés Zafra started in the second-row for Agen.
