Marcos Kremer scores first Top 14 try in loss to Toulouse

Marcos Kremer was a try scorer today. The Argentine flanker went over for his first try in the Top 14. He did so in Stade Français’ 48-24 loss against Toulouse.

The result sees Toulouse climb to the summit of the Top 14 ladder. Despite the loss, Stade Français remain well positioned in 4th spot. Both teams are contenders for the 2020-2021 title.

Kremer started the match at flanker. He was partnered by Pumas captain Pablo Matera. Also involved was Nicolás Sánchez. The Tucumán playmaker entered the match from the bench in the 52nd minute.

Kremer’s try was scored in the 44th minute. It was the fist of there for the Parisians. It came from a set-piece lineout move. Matera was the jumper. The Stade Français forwards set-up a maul and drove forward. Kremer split off and ran hard, overpowering the tackle of Antoine Dupont.

Kemer joined Stade Français this season from Los Jaguares. He was an early member of the 2020 Jaguares player exodus. Matera joined the club after RWC 2019. He captained Los Jaguares to second place in the 2019 Super Rugby season. Sánchez was a Jaguar from 2016-2018. The player are among Argentina’s best; the trio all started in Argentina’s historic win over New Zealand in the 2020 Tri Nations.
