de la Fuente wins on Perpignan debut as team sits top of Pro D2

Jerónimo de la Fuente won on his debut in France. The former Jaguares captain played inside center for Perpignan. The Catalans were 41-34 winners over Mediterranean rivals Aix en Province. The victory sees Perpignan at the top of the Pro D2.

After fifteen rounds of the 2020-2021 season, Perpignan are well placed. The club is seeking a return to the Top 14. de la Fuente’s arrival is part of the strategy to achieve promotion and to remain there. The club also recently secured the services of Patricio Fernández.

The Rosario duo are likely to form the 10-12 combination for the club. They may have the opportunity of playing together next Saturday. Perpignan will play on the road against Mont de Marsan.
