Nahuel Milan will play for Peñarol this year. The Argentine second-rower is the second foreigner player recruited by the Uruguayan franchise. He joins Manuel Nogués at the Montevideo club for the 2021 Súper Liga Americana de Rugby (SLAR) season. Both players are from across the Rio de la Plata.
A large athlete of 2 meters in height and weighing 122kg, Milan has the precise frame that Peñarol need. As evidenced by their one SLAR match in 2020, Uruguay has a short supply of tall-timber. Regular N8 Alejandro Nieto was joined by South African Louis Conradie in locking the scrum. Colombian Diver Ceballos was on the bench.
The additional Peñarol second-rowers in 2020 were Juanjuan Garese, Juan Manuel Rodríguez, and a second Colombian – Danny Giraldo. Rodríguez now plays his rugby in Italy. Milan joins following time in Italy with Lazio.
Milan was a Pumita in 2016 and 2017. He ,are six appearances for Argentina in the Junior World Championship. The team featured a number of players now well-known. They include Pumas Santiago Carreras, Bautista Delguy, Marcos Kremer, Lucas Paulos, and Mayco Vivas.
Additional players will join Milan in the 2021 SLAR. Gonzalo García will play for Cafeteros Pro and Bautista Stavile will play for Selknam. In addition, many more will play fo the Argentine franchise.
Milan is a product of Buenos Aires club San Fernando. His regular position is second-row. He joins Peñarol at the age of 22.
