Leopoldo Herrera joins Olímpia Lions from Ceibos

Leopoldo Herrera will move north from Argentina to Paraguay. The former Argentina XV winger played for Los Ceibos in 2020; in 2021 be will play for the Olímpia Lions.

Herrera joins the six previously confirmed Argentine players at the Olímpia Lions. The 22-year-old is a product of Córdoba Athletic. There are to be further Argentine players on the roster for the upcoming season.

The Olímpia Lions are Paraguay’s first professional rugby team. The franchise participated in the inaugural Súper Liga Americana de Rugby (SLAR) season. The team’s debut was against Los Ceibos in Córdoba. Herrera did not play in that match. He did, however future prior to that in the warm-ups.
