Rugby ATL adds Stephen Brett to coaching staff

Rugby ATL have confirmed the addition of Stephen Brett as Attack Coach for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. The former Super Rugby flyhalf arrives from the withdrawn Colorado Raptors and takes the place of Nese Malifa who has moved to the expansion Dallas Jackals.

Before taking up the coaching profession Brett enjoyed a successful career with the Crusaders and Blues. He graduated through New Zealand’s age grade system to earn Junior All Blacks recognition and also represented the New Zealand Māori. Brett enjoyed a stint in Japan before spending five years in France, retiring as a player in 2018.

The 35-year-old will work with another talented flyhalf in Kurt Coleman at ATL, with Argentine center Bautista Ezcurra joining American talents Jeremy Misailegalu and Harley Davidson. Further additions for next season are yet to be confirmed by the club.
