The Seattle Seawolves have announced the re-signing of outside center Ross Neal for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. It’s a formality long expected, with the 25-year-old’s return confirmed in August when he signed a short-term deal with London Irish.
Neal played five matches in the English Premiership during his three-month stay with the Exiles, including two starts. He then enjoyed a strong showing with the London Royals at the inaugural World Tens Series event in Bermuda.
A broken thumb suffered in the first half of the 2020 season opener against San Diego ended Neal’s first MLR campaign prematurely. The 6’5″ (1.96m) specimen is poised to make a significant impact on the 2021 season. He joins Canadian international George Barton as midfielders confirmed by Seattle to date.
