Old Glory books The St. James as full-time training facility

Old Glory DC has secured a partnership with The St. James as their full-time training facility for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. The sports complex, located in nearby Springfield, Virginia, served as the venue for the team’s two preseason games prior to the 2020 campaign.

In addition to the indoor turf field, The St. James boasts a fully-equipped strength and conditioning center and an Olympic-size swimming pool. The news follows the previously-announced move from Cardinal Stadium at Catholic University to Segra Field in Leesburg for regular season matches.

Two preseason fixtures ahead of the 2021 season have also been confirmed, both to be played at the site. Old Glory will again welcome the US Naval Academy on Friday, February 26, with a match against the New England Free Jacks scheduled for Friday, March 5. The regular season kicks off on March 20.
