Italy have confirmed their test calendar for 2021. In addition to their annual Six Nations fixtures there is a two-match series against the All Blacks in July, with a third match against New Zealand in November followed by tests against Argentina and Uruguay.
The Azzurri were due to tour the Americas – including Canada, the USA, and Argentina – in July of 2020 before the pandemic saw all July tests cancelled. There is currently no indication that the North American matches will be made rescheduled to a future date.
Los Pumas have won 16 of 22 matches to date against the Azzurri. Their most recent meeting was in November 2017 with Argentina taking a 31-15 result at Florence.
The only previous meeting between Uruguay and Italy was in 2007, with the visitors winning 29-5 at Parque Central in Montevideo. More recently Los Teros defeated Emerging Italy 23-19 in the 2018 Nations Cup, also played in Montevideo but at the Carrasco Polo club.
