Olive Kilifi returns to MLR with Utah Warriors

Olive Kilifi will return to Major League Rugby in 2021. It won’t be with the Seattle Seawolves, however, as the US Eagles prop has instead opted to sign for the Utah Warriors.

Injury prevented Kilifi from taking the field during the 2020 campaign and also ended his 2019 season early. Prior to that he had been an indispensable member of the Seawolves front row, starting 13 games including the 2018 Championship Final victory over Glendale.

Now 34 years old, Kilifi is in the latter stages of his career but remains an effective scrummager who will provides vital depth at loosehead prop behind projected starter Franco van den Berg. Alex Tucci is also on the books, having himself missed the 2020 season recovering from a knee injury.
