US Eagles pair Will Hooley and Kapeli Pifeleti took center stage for Saracens as they defeated a Leicester Tigers XV by 45-24 at Copthall Stadium on Saturday. The friendly match was arranged as a welcome back to Sarries fans with 1000 permitted to attend.
Hooley started the match at flyhalf and enjoyed a fine day with the boot. He was a perfect seven-from-seven off the tee while also controlling field position with a sharp tactical kicking display. A picture-perfect cross-kick to winger Ben Harris early in the second half was another highlight.

Also finding his way to the scoreboard was Pifeleti. The 21-year-old hooker produced some rampaging carries and was rewarded with two short range tries. He came inches away from a third try now looks set to figure prominently in the RFU Championship season though it remains to be seen when the campaign will begin with no schedule set due to pandemic restrictions.
