Seawolves retain South African lock FP Pelser

Seattle have retained second row FP Pelser for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. The 25-year-old South African is the 12th returning player confirmed by the Seawolves for next season, and the second lock following Brad Tucker.

Pelser started alongside Tucker in three of the five games during his first MLR campaign, missing two games with injury. His imposing 6’7″ (2.00m) frame proved a reliable target in the lineout and added ballast on the right side of the engine room.

With Jérémy Lenaerts departing for Houston, the Seawolves should again rely on Tucker and Pelser as the first choice locks in 2021. Other forwards confirmed for next season to date are props Djustice Sears-Duru and Tim Metcher, and flankers Eric Duechle and Nakai Penny.
