Santiago Cordero scores in Champions Cup win over Northampton

Santiago Cordero scored in this evening for Bordeaux. The Top 14 side were away winners over the Northampton Saints in a first round fixture of the Champions Cup. The Pumas winger scored the match-winner for the French club over the English club.

The try saw Cordero turning luck into points. He chased a kick at goal. The kick hit the posts only Northampton were unable to gather the bounce. Cordero pounced on the ball to score.

Bordeaux were 16-12 winners. Cordero started on the right wing. His Pumas teammate, Guido Petti also started. Petti played in the second-row. The pairing have been joined for the remainder of the season by Bautista Delguy. He arrived in France this week following the Tri Nations.
