Uruguay sends young squad to Valparaiso

Uruguay will send an inexperienced team to the Sudamérica Sevens in Valparaiso this weekend. Los Teros are eliminated from the Tokyo qualifiers and are now changing their focus to the next Olympic cycle.

Only one player – speedster Koba Brazionis – returns from the team that reached the final of the 2019 Seven de la República. Leading the side is forward Marcos Chayman. A hooker for the national u20 side, he won a test cap as a flanker against Romania in 2016.

Los Teros will be competing against Argentina, Brazil, and hosts Chile.
