Brazil sends test stars to Sudamérica Sevens

Brazil will send a dozen of their top test internationals to compete at this weekend’s Sudamérica Sevens. The Tupis will use the tournament to prepare for the upcoming Repechage qualifier that will determine the final spot at the Tokyo Olympics.

Of the 12 players named, 10 were part of the senior touring squad that recently returned from Portugal. The exceptions are loose forward Devon Müller and utility back Matheus Cruz, though both took part in the non-cap South American Championship in October.

Os Tupis will compete against Argentina, Uruguay, and hosts Chile in Valparaiso. The latter are also set to compete for the final Olympic spot, with the Pumas already qualified.
