LA signs Australian flanker Christian Poidevin

Christian Poidevin is the latest Australian to sign with the LA Giltinis for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. The 22-year-old flanker follows GM Adam Freier and second row Nathan Den Hoedt from the Randwick club. He is notably the son of former Wallabies great Simon Poidevin.

For the past two seasons Poidevin has been a first choice player for Randwick in the Shute Shield, this past season being voted ‘Best and Fairest’ player at the club. He has also made a handful of appearances for the Sydney Rays in the National Rugby Championship (NRC), making his professional debut against the Canberra Vikings in 2018.

Poidevin looks set to compete with Ireland Sevens standout Harry McNulty for the No7 shirt at LA. The club now boasts five loose forwards including previously confirmed blindside flanker Corey Thomas and international No8 duo Adam Ashe and Langilangi Haupeakui.
