Dylan Audsley re-signs with San Diego Legion

Dylan Audsley has re-signed with the San Diego Legion for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. The USA Eagles international returns for a fourth season with the club having played a leading role since the inaugural 2018 campaign. He is the 10th returning player to sign an extension in recent months.

An untimely injury ended Audsley’s 2019 season early and ultimately ruled him out of contention for Rugby World Cup 2019, but he returned to run out in all five games for the Legion in their undefeated run this year. Remarkably he had starts in three different positions – inside center, left wing, and fullback.

Audsley’s ability to cover across the backline has proved highly valuable but a more consistent spot in the midfield looks on the cards for 2021. South African outside backs Bjorn Basson and Cecil Afrika have been signed with Fijian flyer Save Totovosau set to continue on the right wing.
