Ledesma’s Pumas: 2018-2020

The 2020 Tri Nations was the third such competition in which Mario Ledesma was Argentina’s Head Coach. Bocha took over from Daniel Hourcade following the June 2018 home internationals. During this period Argentina have competed in three Rugby Championships, a November tour of Europe and a Rugby World Cup.

During his tenure there have been three captains. Agustín Creevy led the team in 2018 and Pablo Matera took over in 2019. Jerónimo de la Fuente captained the side in the final match of the 2020 Tri Nations.

In total 56 different players played test rugby for Argentina under Mario Ledesma. Certain positions stand out as having had far more players than others. The leading position is tight head prop with 8 different players used. This is more than the players used in positions with two starting players; namely flanker, second-row, and wing.

The complete list of players involved in test matches under Ledesma are listed below. Included are all players from every match-day 23. As such, Lucio Cinti and José Luis González are listed despite neither having received game time.
