LA confirms capture of Raptors captain Luke White

LA has confirmed the signing of former Colorado Raptors captain Luke White for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. The 29-year-old Australian was a long-expected arrival, following teammates Blake Rogers, Nick Boyer, Mika Kruse, and John Ryberg to California.

After initially playing as a loosehead prop for Glendale, White made the permanent switch to the second row in the 2019 season despite being relatively short for the position at 6’3″ (1.91m). What he lacks in lineout presence he makes up for in ferocity with his work rate among the best in MLR.

White captained the Raptors in 2020, starting all five matches and playing 99% of all possible minutes. He will have stern competition for playing time at the Giltinis with previously announced Dave Dennis, Nathan Den Hoedt, and Corey Thomas all experienced locks and Luca Tani also set to join from Austin.
