LA confirms Lindsey Stevens arrival from NOLA

The LA Giltinis have confirmed a third hooker for their inaugural Major League Rugby campaign. Lindsey ‘Skeeter’ Stevens makes the move from the NOLA Gold by way of Eastern Suburbs, following previously announced Mahe Vailanu and Sean McNulty.

Stevens was a regular in the Houston SaberCats squad during the 2018 season but did not return the following year. He resurfaced in New Orleans for the 2020 season when intended arrival Cullen Collopy’s visa approval hit a snag and took the most of his chances with three appearances including a start against Rugby ATL. Most recently Stevens has been playing for Easts in the Shute Shield.

Though born in Australia, the 25-year-old holds the unique distinction of being qualified for both Canada and the USA. His mother is from Texas while his grandfather was prominent Bay Street banker Latham Burns. Stevens’ step-brother Jake Turnbull played for Old Glory during the 2020 season.
