LA signs USA u20 halfback Jeffrey Peleseuma

The LA Giltinis have confirmed the signing of Junior All-American halfback Jeffrey Peleseuma through the 2022 Major League Rugby season. At 20 years old, his birthday celebrated just days ago, Peleseuma is currently the youngest player in the league publicly contracted for next year.

A native of San Francisco, Peleseuma comes from the Golden Gate club where he has been a standout at age-grade level. He was selected as a scrumhalf for the u20 qualifying series against Canada in 2019, but is equally comfortable at flyhalf and the 5’8″ (1.73m) playmaker could fill either position in MLR.

Peleseuma joins former SFGG coach Orene Ai’i at LA. He will also learn from the two scrumhalves already announced – USA Eagles cap Nick Boyer and Australia u20 rep Harrison Goddard. Set to join the team from San Diego is another Australian age grade international in flyhalf Luke Burton.
