LA signs Randwick captain Nathan Den Hoedt

The LA Giltinis have announced the signing of Australian second row Nathan Den Hoedt for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. He arrives from Randwick, where he captained the Galloping Greens in Sydney’s Shute Shield competition.

Standing 6’6″ (1.99m), Den Hoedt is nicknamed ‘Moose’ and offers a significant physical presence to LA’s forward pack. At 23 years old he is still to reach his peak, but has already featured in two National Rugby Championship (NRC) campaigns with Brisbane City and the NSW Country Eagles. He has also been part of the Emerging Waratahs development program.

LA have now confirmed three signings capable of playing lock. Wallabies veteran Dave Dennis was signed from Exeter, with Canadian-eligible Corey Thomas arriving from Japan. Also expected to join are ex-Raptors captain Luke White and Santa Cruz native Luca Tani, whose move from Austin was revealed at the World Tens Series event in Bermuda.
