Evan Olmstead try leads Biarritz to win over Charente

A first half try from Evan Olmstead inspired Biarritz to a 15-6 win over Charente on Friday evening. The Canadian lock muscled over from short range after a driving maul was stopped short, with the conversion from Gilles Bosch giving les Biarrots a 10-nil lead that would not be relinquished.

Biarritz are now fourth on the Pro D2 table and trail leaders Vannes by seven points but have two games at hand due to COVID-19 postponements. Olmstead has been a key figure for the club as they push for promotion to the Top 14, starting all but one match in the No5 shirt.
