AJ MacGinty shines as Sale Sharks down Northampton

AJ MacGinty shined for the Sale Sharks in their season opener. The Northern English side had home advantage against the Northampton Saints. MacGinty was the starting fly half. He started the season with 17 points.

MacGinty kicked four conversions and a penalty. He also crossed for a try in addition to having a try assist. His assist saw winger Simon Hammersley scoring in the left corner.

It was impressive, but his try was even better. The USA Eagles fly half ran from 40 meters out. He fooled two defenders with different dummy-passes.

The Sharks were 32-23 winners. Their next opponents were also victorious in round one. MacGinty’s team will travel to Newcastle to face the Falcons on Friday. Newcastle were 19-12 away winners over Bath.
