Ollie Engelhart continues with Free Jacks in 2021

The New England Free Jacks have confirmed the return of scrumhalf Ollie Engelhart for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. Part of the inaugural exhibition campaign, the 24-year-old re-signed with the club in August 2019. He also fills several roles under the title of ‘Operations Associate’ in the team’s front office.

Engelhart was born and raised in Hong Kong but is an American citizen, earning Collegiate All-American Honors in 2018 while at Dartmouth. In his first fully professional campaign he appeared in three matches as a replacement and showed his versatility by covering fullback against Seattle.

New England now have four scrumhalves on their roster for the 2021 season. Incumbent starter John Poland returns along with new recruits Sean Yacoubian and Tom Brusati. The former arrives from the withdrawn Colorado Raptors while the latter is a collegiate standout with the Saint Mary’s Gaels.
