Rugby ATL signs Life standout Daemon Torres

Rugby ATL have signed Life Running Eagles standout Daemon Torres for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. The 23-year-old is the third newcomer to put pen-to-paper with the side after a successful trial period with Pathway 404 following prop Lincoln Sii and flanker Jalen Tatum.

Torres was primarily used at lock for the Running Eagles but at 6’3″ (1.91m) projects as a blindside flanker in MLR. He has shown an impressive work-rate in his playing time with 404, notably scoring a try in the win over the NOLA Gold Academy on October 23.

ATL continues to add depth to their loose forward stocks with Torres and Tatum joining Maciu Koroi and co-captain Matt Heaton as confirmed signings. Expected returnees include Vili Helu, Ross Deacon, and Harry Higgins while draft pick Mike Matarazzo is capable of playing both second or back row.
