Jason Robertson re-signs with Old Glory

Old Glory DC fans can breathe a sigh of relief with the announcement that Jason Robertson has re-signed with the team for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. Soon to celebrate his 26th birthday, the star playmaker is currently in his native New Zealand playing for Counties Manukau in the Mitre 10 Cup.

Robertson was a revelation for the expansion side in 2020, starting all five games at flyhalf and playing all but two minutes of the shortened season. His 67 points scored led the league and included two tries and 15 penalty goals, the latter also tops in MLR.

With returnee Mike Dabulas and newcomer Danny Thomas previously secured, Old Glory look to have completed their halfback recruiting. Sean Hartig is the only confirmed scrumhalf to date but Harry Masters has a verbal agreement to join with Samoan international Danny Tusitala also expected to renew his dynamic partnership with Robertson in 2021.
