Rafael Teixeira to miss Chile XV clash through suspension

Brazil XV flanker Rafael dos Santos Teixeira will not play on Sunday. The 21-year-old was yellow carded for a dangerous tackle against the Argentina XV on Wednesday.

The Match Official, Gonzalo Troncoso cited the player for the 71st minute incident. It was assessed by Judicial Officer Ramiro Romero. He determined that it was a red card offense and has handed Teixeira a one match suspension.

The suspension comes into immediate effect. It rules Teixeira out of playing on Sunday. The Brazil XV will take-on the Chile XV in Montevideo. The match is to be a final round fixture in the 2020 South American 4 Nations.

The Brazil XV enter following losses against the Uruguay XV and the Argentina XV. The Chile XV also fell to the Argentina XV, but they upset the host nation.
