Juan Pablo Socino to play for Barbarians against England

Juan Pablo Socino is set to play for the Barbarians against England at Twickenham next weekend. The Pumas midfielder is one of 11 Saracens who have been named by the invitational side to contest the Quilter Cup. This will be the first time the 32-year-old will wear the famous black and white stripes.

Socino is not the only Americas connection to the group named thus far. Former England captain Chris Robshaw will play his last match before joining the San Diego Legion in Major League Rugby. Richard Wigglesworth, an assistant coach for Canada at Rugby World Cup 2019, has also been selected.

In addition to Socino and Wigglesworth, Saracens will provide hooker Tom Woolstencroft, locks Tim Swinson and Joel Kpoku, back rows Calum Clark and Jackson Wray, flyhalf Manu Vunipola, center Dom Morris, and wingers Sean Maitland and Alex Lewington. All are first time Barbarians.

Vern Cotter will act as Head Coach with Glen Jackson his assistant. The duo will then switch their focus to leading Fiji who are participating in the upcoming Autumn Nations Cup.
