Imhoff to start for Racing 92 in Champions Cup Final

Juan Imhoff will start in the Champions Cup Final. The Argentine winger has recovered from a mild form of COVID-19. Racing 92 are to take-on the Exeter Chiefs in the European club final. Neither side has previously won the Champions Cup.

The 2020 Champions Cup Final will be played in the UK city of Bristol. The cities of Bristol and Exeter are 1 hour apart via train.

Racing 19 were finalists in 2018. The Parisians were beaten 15-13 by Leinster in Bilbao, Spain. Two years earlier Racing 92 lost 21-9 against Saracens in Lyon. Imhoff and fellow Rosario Puma Manuel Carizza both featured for the French side. Juan Figallo and Marcelo Bosch were on the winning team.

Regardless of Saturday’s result, Imhoff will travel to Australia on Monday. He was named on Argentina’s roster for the Rugby Championship. Fellow French-based wingers Santiago Cordero and Ramiro Moyano  join Imhoff on the roster. Santiago Cordero’s brother Facundo Cordero plays for the Exeter Chiefs, but will miss the final.
