San Diego re-sign Eagles hooker Peter Malcolm

Peter Malcolm has re-signed with the San Diego Legion for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. The USA international returns for a second campaign with the club after joining from Austin last year.

It’s been over two years since Malcolm made his most recent Eagles appearance. A serious knee injury knocked him out of the entire 2018 MLR season and a few weeks of 2019 as well. The 26-year-old looked to be in full fitness this past season before the pandemic resulted in its suspension.

Malcolm played in all five matches in 2020, starting once and splitting time with Dean Muir. Both are now confirmed returnees for 2021, along with props Nathan Sylvia and Aaron Mitchell. Eagles tighthead Paul Mullen is expected to stay in San Diego, recently returning from COVID-enforced exile in Ireland.
