Brazil send strong roster to Uruguay for SA 4 Nations

Brazil will send a strong roster to Uruguay. Head Coach Fernando Portugal has named a 30 man roster for the for the South American 4 Nations. Portugal, a former Brazilian player himself, has selected Brazil’s finest for the tournament.

Os Tupis will play for the first time in 2020. Brazil’s last international assignment was last November. Os Tupis played a two-match home series with matches against Portugal and the Barbarians.

The South American 4 Nations is not only a different task, it is a different era. Brazil, Chile and Uruguay are all beginning their roads to the RWC 2023 qualifications. It is the first match for the Argentina XV during the RWC 2019-2023 cycle.

All matches in the South American 4 Nations will be played at the Estadio Charrúa. Match days will see all teams playing on the same days.

Brazil’s roster consists of 28 Brazilian based and two foreign-based players. Those who play abroad are Lorenzo Massari (Parabiago, IT), and Wilton Rebolo (Rugby United New York, US).

Os Tupis will travel to Montevideo on today. The 30 players and accompanying staff will enter quarantine upon arrival.
