Dallas signs tighthead prop Will Burke from RUNY

The Dallas Jackals have signed 24-year-old tighthead prop Will Burke for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. He arrives from Rugby United New York, with whom Burke played two games during his first season as a professional.

A native of Alexander, New York, Burke did not start playing rugby until picking up the game at the University of Buffalo. He then played for Buffalo RFC, and enjoyed a four-month stay with Lurgan RFC in Northern Ireland before being signed on by RUNY just ahead of the 2020 campaign.

Burke is the fourth prop confirmed by Dallas following Kelepi Fifita, Skyler Adams, and Kareem Odeh. He follows fellow RUNY front rower Mike Brown to the Jackals, one of three hookers signed along with Chad Gough and James Malcolm.
