Agustín Creevy sees London Irish past Exeter Chiefs

Agustín Creevy played well yesterday. The former Pumas captain helped London Irish past the Exeter Chiefs. He was both a try scorer and a defensive master in the match. London Irish won 22-19 in their best result of the year.

Creevy was a replacement hooker. He entered in the 50th minute. Within two minutes he won a turnover penalty. The play saw London Irish re-gaining a key possession.

His try was scored in the 68th minute. It saw Argentina’s most capped player controlling the ball at the back of a rolling maul. He patiently held on as the Exiles gained momentum to move toward the try line.

Wednesday’s try was the third for Creevy in four matches. He scored on debut against Saracens and also scored against Gloucester. He joined London Irish from Los Jaguares.

Creevy is expected to play in the 2020 Rugby Championship. Mario Ledesma will take 46 players to Australia. Four hookers are expected to be on the roster. They loom as being Facundo Bosch (La Rochelle, FR), Agustín Creevy (London Irish, UK), Julián Montoya (Jaguares), and Santiago Socino (Jaguares).
