Santboiana sign Roberto Tejerizo

Unión Esportiva Santboiana have signed Roberto Tejerizo. The move means that the former Jaguares front-rower will play in the Spanish División de Honor. The 32-year-old makes the move from Eastern to Western Europe. He previously played for Baia Mare in Romania.

Tejerizo is from the northern Argentine city of Tucumán. He played rugby for Tucumán Lawn Tennis, catching the attention of national scouts. He went on to play for the Argentina XV, including several matches as captain.

His pathway to becoming a professional rugby player started at the juniors. Tejerizo was an Argentine u19s representative. In 2016 he was drafted into Los Jaguares. He received game time in both 2016 and 2017, appearing in a total of eight Super Rugby matches.
