The Jaguares-first policy saw Imhoff miss out on RWC 2019. He was the leading Argentine winger. He and his RWC 2015 partner, Santiago Cordero were the top performers; both ahead of Jaguares. Instead, politics  saw neither playing in RWC 2019.
