The Argentina XV have suffered an injury set-back. Second-rower Lucas Bur has left the camp in Uruguay to return to Argentina. He is one of four second-rowers on the Argentina XV’s 30-man roster for the South American 4 Nations.
Bur suffered a torn calf. His recuperation time is estimated at between three and four weeks. The South American 4 Nations bogus on October 17. In other words, Bur is unlikely to be fit in time for the tournament.
No replacement has yet been named for Bur. He is one of four second-rowers on the Argentina XV roster. The others are players from the Súper Liga Americana de Rugby (SLAR). They are Rodrigo Fernández Criado (Ceibos), Federico Gutiérrez (Olímpia Lions, Paraguay), and Franco Molina (Ceibos).
[EDIT: Pumitas flanker Juan Cruz Pérez Rachel has been called as a replacement. Santiago Portillo will cover lock if required.]
The Argentina XV will join the test sides from Brazil, Chile and Uruguay. The teams will take-on each other once. Match dates are confirmed for Saturday, October 17; Wednesday October 21; and Sunday, October 24. The schedule will be released in a matter of days.
