SaberCats confirm Godfrey and Lee-Lo for 2021

The Houston SaberCats have confirmed the returns of Zack Godfrey and Valdemar Lee-Lo for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. Both players carry over existing contracts announced in September and November of last year respectively.

Godfrey arrived from England having previously been part of the Leicester and Ealing academy programs. The 20-year-old winger played in both preseason matches, starting against NOLA, but did not make a regular season appearance. He will look to make his official MLR debut in 2021.

Lee-Lo, 25, returned to the professional ranks this year after a three-year injury-enforced hiatus. The loosehead prop played all five regular season games for the SaberCats in 2020, starting four of them. A former Junior All-American, continued strong performances should put him into Eagles contention.
