Dallas signs Fijian flyhalf Tuidraki Samusamuvodre

The Dallas Jackals have announced the signing of flyhalf Tuidraki Samusamuvodre for their inaugural Major League Rugby campaign in 2021. At 22 years old he has yet to make his test debut but is considered one of Fiji’s brightest young playmakers at No10.

Samusamuvodre represented the national u20 side for two years before graduating to senior honors in 2019. He scored four tries in three games as a center for the Fiji Warriors in the World Rugby Pacific Challenge. This past year he captained the side at flyhalf and scored three more tries in three games.

Though he has not been tested as a front-line kicker at international level yet, Samusamuvodre showed his skills with the boot by kicking all 9 points including the winning drop goal in Naitasiri’s win over Nadroga in August. Scrumhalf signing Carlo de Nysschen is another goal kicking option for the Jackals.
