Bathco sign Agustín Peláez from SIC

Bathco have signed Agustín Peláez from San Isidro Club (SIC). The 25-year-old is the sixth recruitment by the Spanish club for the upcoming season. The tight head prop follows the recent signings of fellow Argentine players scrum-half Julián Izaguirre and loose head Felipe Helman.

Despite playing for SIC, Peláez is not from Buenos Aires. He comes from Club Banco Mendoza in the Cuyo region. He moved to SIC as a 20-year-old. He won URBA titles at the u23 level, but was not involved in the senior roster which faced Belgrano in last season’s final.

Peláez is 1.86m tall and weighs 124kg. He carries both an Argentine and a Spanish passport. He is eligible to play for Spain under player eligibility laws.
