Matías Alemanno was a try scorer on debut for Gloucester. The veteran of RWCs 2015 and 2019 featured as an impact player for the cheery-and-whites. His try saw him involved in three aspects. First, he won an attacking lineout. Second, he set-up a maul. Third, he carried to the line for the try.
Alemanno joined Gloucester from Los Jaguares. He is part of the COVID-19 motivated player exodus from Argentina. Follow Jaguares second-rower Guido Petti debuted for Bordeaux this past weekend as did flanker Marcos Kremer for Stade Français.
Unlike Petti and Kremer, Alemanno’s debut was not a winning effort. Alemanno and Gloucester were beaten 28-15 by the Harlequins. Former Jaguares loose head prop Santiago García Botta featured for the winning team.
