Kremer debuts, Sánchez scores 17 points in Stade Français triumph

Marcos Kremer was a winner on debut for Stade Français. In his first Top 14 appearance the Parisians were 22-16 winners over Castres. Nicolás Sánchez was the leading scorer with 17 points.

Kremer joined Stade Français from Los Jaguares. He did so not long after Gonzalo Quesada did so as Head Coach. Both Kremer and Quesada thereby had plenty to celebrate as the team triumphed.

In moving to France, Kremer reunite not only with Sánchez and Quesada but also Pablo Matera. The Argentina starting flankers formed the 6/7 combination for Stade Français today.

Sánchez’s 17 points were one more than the 16 scored by Castres’ Benjamin Urdapilleta. The two Argentine fly halves from RWC 2019 played on opposite teams today. Officially, Sánchez won the battle although Urdapilleta was a try scorer.

Kremer, Matera, Sánchez, and Urdapilleta are all on Mario Ledesma’s long-list for the Rugby Championship. They are expected to feature in the tournament this coming November and December in Australia.
